Singapore-based Agrifood Futures has partnered with Agnition, the venture arm of New Zealand’s Ravensdown, to launch Land x Launch™, an accelerator program aimed at helping global AgTech startups establish a presence in New Zealand. The initiative seeks to leverage Agrifood Futures’ extensive international network to identify promising AgTech solutions, which will then be tested and developed with New Zealand farmers.
Agrifood Futures, known for its work in AgTech innovation across Asia-Pacific, will source and shortlist startups in collaboration with Agnition. Selected companies will receive tailored business model development, introductions to pilot farmers, and market insights. Agnition may also provide investment to scale viable solutions.
Joshua Soo, Co-founder and Director of Agrifood Futures, emphasized that New Zealand offers a strong proving ground for AgTech innovations due to its advanced farming sector. “This partnership allows us to better connect innovation across Asia-Pacific and accelerate farmer adoption of new technologies,” he said.
The accelerator program will be introduced to the AgTech community during the EvokeAG conference in Brisbane in February. Over time, the collaboration is expected to expand opportunities for New Zealand-based AgTech startups to scale internationally through Agrifood Futures’ network in Australia, Asia, and Europe.
